A Review of Koi Network in 2022
To Koi communities,
We believe it is time we close out the year and reflect on the past 12 months. It is indeed with a mixture of emotions that we reflect on the events and milestones of the past year.
While the global pandemic and related social and economic challenges have presented us with unprecedented challenges, we are grateful for the resilience and determination of our community in the face of these difficulties.
Despite the many challenges, there have been numerous highlights and accomplishments to celebrate, and we have much to be proud of. As we look ahead to the year ahead, we are filled with hope and optimism for the future because of what we have been through together as a cohesive community.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. We look forward to working with you in the year ahead and making even more progress together. First, however, to start afresh in 2023, we must look back and externally for weaknesses and strengths.
Picking Up The Momentum
2021 was a huge year for Koi Metaverse — not only for our team but for the whole fish army who built it with us. And riding the same energy and momentum, we kicked off 2022.

New Year New Rodamp
In 2022, we were focusing on developing more functionalities upon the base we built in the preceding year to push Koi Metaverse to a broader stage. The key milestones under the new Roadmap cover various aspects.
Koi Metaverse Gamepaper V2.0
Moving forward in 2022, we published an updated Gampaper to stay aligned with the new plan. In the Gamepaper V2.0, we expound on a more enhanced Koi Metaverse. In it, we shared more details on our definition of Metaverse, what Koi Metaverse philosophy is, and its unique game design that, unlike the conventional games, respects gamers’ time and energy.
Additionally, Gamepaper V2.0 dilated on the attributes of the new Koi Metaverse, such as Social First, Rarity Creation, Open world Created by Players, Community Governance as DAO, and its Limitlessness.
Along with this major update, we decided to regularly introduce new characters.
MILESTONE! 10,000 And Many More …
On Feb 9, 2022, we reached 10,000 subscribers on Medium. This was a huge milestone for all of us, and we, at Koi Metaverse, are honored to relish this moment again with you, whether you are new here or a long-time Koi fan.
Introducing Koi Metaverse Private Sea Block Concept
Using this concept and building strategy, the whole metaverse is divided into several private sea blocks, each of a different size.
Gamers can zoom in and out to see the size of each private sea block. And after zooming in on the sea area, gamers can view the status of the expedition team and the data information of the constructions in each specific area.
Koi Network Partnerships in 2022
Building partnership is critical to any successful project in or out of the crypto space. It allows for sharing resources, knowledge, and expertise, leading to a stronger and more robust space.
As an NFT & Metaverse project, partnerships are essential to our success. By collaborating with other leaders in the industry, we can not only elevate our project but also drive the entire NFT space forward. Therefore, we constantly seek new partnerships and opportunities to work with like-minded individuals and organizations.

ArcadeNetwork is a platform providing metaverse interoperability. It is a well-defined, intuitive, and resourceful platform that provides an advanced experience in gaming metaverses.

Gamestate is a megaverse nexus, uniting gamers, fans, developers, creators, and merchants in a place of fun, discovery, and learning.
Strategic Partnership with BSCStation (BSCS)
BSCStation is a network developed as a Defi and NFT hub on the Binance smart chain. This platform is a hub for all crypto services in the Binance smart chain network, providing a center for IDO launchpad, farming, staking, BSC swap, NFT auction, and NFT marketplace.
Strategic Partnership with Fabwelt
Fabwelt is a revolutionary concept that brings blockchain technology into the core of high-quality games of all types or genres. It aims to create a high-end gaming ecosystem and amplify the fun with in-game NFTs, Play to Earn, and DEFI, to build a multi-gaming ecosystem with various genres, and ultimately integrate all our games into one.

Initial NFT Offering (INO) With ChainGuardians
We worked closely with ChainGuardians to allow all NFT and Metaverse lovers to explore the Koi Metaverse and pick the unique virtual Koi fish they fancy. ChainGuardians is a blockchain meets superheroes gaming ecosystem which combines traditional gaming concepts with blockchain technologies.
Compared with the previous offering, Koi Metaverse Initial NFT Offering (INO) was a much more enhanced version of the Koi NFT super sale.
In this Initial NFT Offering (INO), we released more mystery boxes and NFTs, more gene-suits, and more scarcity levels into the Metaverse and have a foretaste of how powerful the interactions are.
Koi Early Supporter NFT Program
The KOI Early Supporter NFT Program was created with the intent to give back to the Koi Metaverse community that has been showing us nothing but support and love along the way. Despite the long and hard market correction, Koi Metaverse fans have been with us since the beginning, helping us continuously make our name known in this competitive space.
With this announcement, we officially kicked off this program, along with a series of giving-back events for our previous, present, and future supporters.

Sponge NFT Campaign was one of the most successful campaigns of Koi Network in 2022, attracting a large number of followers and generating significant buzz on social media. Thanks to these efforts, our online giveaway event was a huge success, bringing in many new followers and helping to build our brand.
Marketplace Testing & Earn Your Tester NFTs
On Apr 15, 2022, we believed our products and efforts were ready to stand the tests of our community.
Building a marketplace was always a part of our vision to unlock the Metaverse economy. Our Koi Market is a specialized trading platform for GameFi NFT assets in Koi Metaverse. And as we were getting closer to the official Game Launch, we took this Testing Launch event to invite the Koi community to try it out, to have fun with it, and to help us debug and improve the current version so we could move beyond our limitations.
In this testing session, all testers could join us in our game and market to give their opinion on how to improve the current market. Once they complete all tasks in this campaign, the Marketplace Tester NFTs would become their badge of honor.

Announcing Koi Network — Web3 Culture is the New Currency
On Jun 20, 2022, we announced Koi Metaverse’s transformation to Koi Network.
The Official Game Launch marks the end of a chapter but the beginning of a new one. Building a project is a bit like writing a book. We don’t always get to write the entire thing in one go. There are times when an unforeseeable force can take your book and scribble in a few unexpected paragraphs that you might wish weren’t there, but it’s our book and we can turn those paragraphs into many, MANY exciting new chapters.
The new identity — Koi Network, aims to build the cultural bridge between Web2 and Web3 economies. It is a decentralized community-driven platform that enables users to merge Web2 applications and Web3 native cultures via a single touchpoint, bringing your digital collectibles to the masses.
With this upgrade, Koi Network is still operating in the same space, but beyond gaming. Web3, augmented by decentralized products and NFTs, is ushering in a new era of how we all connect, interact, work and play — all within a transparent, open ecosystem.
The most important takeaway was that KOI represents the Web3 culture, which is a counter-culture that promotes the idea that you can take control back from the Facebooks of the world. And NFT is just one of the first steps to do so.
HuobiGlobal Primelist & KOI Token Generation Event Schedule (TGE)
On Jun 25, 2022, we announced that Koi Network was selected as a Huobi Primelist project.
Huobi Global was going to list $KOI(Koi Network) on Primelist at 13:00 (UTC) on June 30, 2022
The KOI TGE was composed of three parts.
🏁 Part 1 — HuobiGlobal Primelist
Similar to Huobi Prime, Primelist is a new token listing platform on Huobi Global for listing high-quality tokens.
🏁 Part 2 — HuobiGlobal Listing
⏰ Huobi Global opened $KOI deposits and spot trading (KOI/USDT) at 13:00 (UTC) on June 30.
🏁 Part 3 — Initial DAO Offering
With Koi Network’s Initial DAO Offering, we want to build such a DAO.
The purpose of Koi Network’s Initial DAO Offering was to pool our funds together to:
- Provide market liquidity of NFTs
- Create a healthy market for all participants
- Prod Koi Network’s PFP development
- Form a close-knit KoiDAO with real incentives and stakes
(100% of the raised fund will be used by KoiDAO to achieve the aforementioned goals.)
