Recap of What We Achieved — Koi Metaverse
In September, we decided to announce to the world Koi Metaverse, a project that strives to unlock the next-gen GameFi Metaverse economies by building the digital collectibles platform for virtual GameFi NFTs on multiple chains. We created this project with a wish for people to issue, trade, and liquify GameFi NFTs from different chains without hassle.
November 1st marked one of the most important milestones in Koi Metaverse history. We announced Koi Labs had secured $2.6 Million in Pre-A Funding. And the fund raised was used to explicitly kick off and fuel the exponential growth of Koi Metaverse.
Nearly a month later, we announced Koi Labs has closed its Series A Round with a 2.7 million dollars investment. The valuation of Koi Metaverse A fundraising round is at 45 million dollars.
Around December, we decided to launch our first-ever public game testing on Koiverse’s three major components: Mining & Breeding & Mystery Box.
In March, we launched the event that gave us the biggest hike in community growth. The KOI Early Supporter NFT Program was created with the intent to give back to the Koi Metaverse community that has been showing us nothing but support and love along the way. At the time of this writing, the number of our NFT holders exceeds 20,000.
On April 19th, the Koi Metaverse game was officially launched.
This marks the end of a chapter but the beginning of a new one. Building a project is a bit like writing a book. We don’t always get to write the entire thing in one go. There are times when an unforeseeable force can take your book and scribble in a few unexpected paragraphs that you might wish weren’t there, but it’s our book and we can turn those paragraphs into many, MANY exciting new chapters.

This is the new thinking pattern we want to instill in the next chapter of this project. Gaming is good, and with GameFi, gaming is even better. However, Web3 culture is something larger than ourselves that can give the ultimate meaning to our future endeavors.
We human beings have succeeded as a species because of our ability to form unique cultures rather than follow animalistic ones. Cultures are what make groups of people come together for a common set of values and beliefs. When we share values and beliefs with others, we form trust and that precious trust allows us to cooperate, develop and thrive as a whole.
Following the same logic, The ultimate goal is to create and develop such a culture that better unites people, incentivizes people into good behaviors, and propels our society to a more sustainable trajectory.

Why Bigger and More
You are right to ask this question. Why build a bigger and more complex project after all the work we have done to launch a Metaverse game? After the game launch, we feel there is mre we can do to contribute to the Web3 world. The game itself is fun. It is fun to work on, and fun to share with our community. However, the ultimate goal is to create and develop a new culture that better unites people, incentivizes people into good behaviors, and propels our society to a more sustainable trajectory.
NFT should not be confined to gaming or simply speculation. And those who entertain such beliefs probably have not done much research on it.
NFTs can convert physical products to digital assets, which gives them the potential to improve supply chains, reduce intermediaries, and increase security. The underlying technology of NFT is considered one of the most promising tools we can use to reshape our future. We can go on and on here.
However, the most important takeaway is that it represents the Web3 culture, which is a counter-culture that promotes the idea that you can take control back from the Facebooks of the world. And NFT is just one of the first steps to do so.
